Seminar Training and Workshop for Artists

Concast (India) supported Shrujan LLDC in arranging for multiple crafts workshops for the artisans of Kutch, which included Design, Skill Assessment and Embroidery Workshops. The intent was to encourage, revive and organize folk arts, crafts, and cottage industries, ultimately bolstering the cultural representation of rural areas.

Climate Change Initiatives

Embroidery & Beadwork Workshops with Shrujan LLDC

​Concast (India) supported Shrujan LLDC in arranging for multiple crafts workshops for the artisans of Kutch between the 15th of Feb 2022 to 31st of March 2022, which included Embroidery and Beadwork workshops.

Embroidery Workshops

Keeping the tradition and culture of the local villages alive while also widening the exposure for craftswomen, we conducted two design development workshops, joined by a total of 27 participants. The embroidery we covered included Jat Pakko & Soof, and Ahir, respectively.

Beadwork Workshops

Retaining the authenticity of the techniques and styles in each community, the main aim of these workshops was to add value to the crafts that have become tertiary crafts, used as accessories or accents on other products. We conducted a total of six workshops, catering to a total of 65 participants.
